Xango Creation 3D Printing & Licensing Policy
Policy Code: NV-XNGO-3DPRNT-HYB-2026-V3
Effective Date: August 1, 2026
Jurisdiction: State of Nevada, USA
This policy establishes the legally binding framework for the licensing, physical manufacturing, and regulatory compliance of Xango creations. It governs both physical goods and digital assets (including STL, OBJ, 3MF design files, and digital certificates) bundled for commercial or personal use.
Disclosure & Compliance Layer (Legal & Nevada Statutes) This section outlines the exact licensing permissions for digital files and physical products under Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS).
Dual-Asset Licensing Tiers
- Personal/Non-Commercial License: Grants the user the right to print or use the Xango file for personal use. Selling the physical print or redistributing the digital file is strictly illegal.
- Commercial Print-to-Sell License: Grants the right to sell physical 3D prints or physical components of the bundle. It strictly prohibits the sale, sharing, or modification of the underlying digital blueprint files or digital certificates.
- The Bundle Rule: Physical items and their accompanying digital certificates are legally tied. Separating and selling the digital certificate apart from the physical item voids the commercial license.
Slicing Restrictions & Geometric Integrity
- Geometric Modification Prohibition: Licensees are strictly forbidden from modifying, altering, or slicing away the foundational geometry, artistic features, or embedded brand watermarks of the Xango digital asset.
- Permitted Slicing Modifications: Slicing adjustments are restricted entirely to structural integrity optimizations, including uniform scaling, orientation changes, support structures, infill density, and wall thickness.
- Remixing and Derivatives: Derivative works, mashups, or "remixes" of the digital files are strictly prohibited unless a specific Commercial Master Modification License is purchased.
Print-on-Demand (POD) Network Terms
- Third-Party Upload Restrictions: Personal Licensees may only upload files to POD networks (e.g., Shapeways, Craftcloud, Treatstock, or local Nevada print hubs) for a single, personal production run. The file must be deleted from the POD platform immediately upon completion.
- Commercial POD Prohibition: Commercial licensees are prohibited from using automated drop-shipping POD networks to distribute Xango physical creations. All commercial production must occur on equipment owned and operated directly by the licensee.
- POD Network Violations: If a third-party POD network breaches the intellectual property of an uploaded Xango file, the licensee who uploaded the file bears primary legal and financial liability for the leak.
Nevada Regulatory Alignment
- Nevada Sales & Use Tax (NRS 372): Pure digital file downloads are non-taxable if transferred electronically without tangible media. However, pre-printed physical items, or digital files bundled with physical filaments, tokens, or personal property, are fully subject to Nevada State Sales Tax.
- Nevada Privacy Law (NRS 603A): All customer data flowing into third-party tools is tokenized. Raw credit card data is never stored on internal servers.
Manufacturing & Structural Liability Disclaimer
- Print Failures & Fulfillment Delays: Xango provides 3D files "as-is." We are not responsible for filament wasted, electrical consumption, or mechanical wear resulting from failed prints. Customers receive automatic email updates if physical manufacturing times exceed the standard window.
- Filament & Thermal Properties: Thermal tolerance and melting points vary widely by material (e.g., PLA, PETG, ABS, Resin). Licensees assume all liability for choosing appropriate materials. Xango is not liable for items warping, melting, or emitting toxic fumes under thermal stress.
- Structural Safety & Intended Use: Xango creations are classified as artistic or decorative models. They are not engineered, certified, or load-tested for functional, weight-bearing, automotive, medical, or food-safe applications. The licensee assumes 100% of the risk for property damage or injury if a print suffers structural failure.
- Resin & Photopolymer Chemical Safety: Digital assets intended for resin-based printing (SLA/DLP/LCD) involve hazardous liquid photopolymers. Licensees must use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including nitrile gloves, safety goggles, and organic vapor respirators in highly ventilated areas.
- Environmental Waste Liability: Licensees are legally and financially responsible for the safe handling, washing (using Isopropyl Alcohol), and disposal of chemical waste in compliance with Nevada environmental protection regulations. Dumping uncured resin or contaminated liquids into drains is strictly prohibited.
- Post-Curing and Skin Contact: Resin prints are not skin-safe, food-safe, or body-safe until they have undergone comprehensive post-curing. Xango assumes zero liability for chemical burns, allergic sensitization, or respiratory irritation.
- Choking Hazard & Age Restrictions: 3D-printed items, support structures, and breakaway components can form small parts. Xango creations are not toys and must not be given to children under the age of 13. The licensee assumes full liability for ensuring that physical prints are kept out of reach of children to prevent accidental ingestion or choking.
